Quite possibly the last Post of 2010

Have not had much time for any artwork lately so it leaves me to say a merry Christmas to all....I know you are out  there somewhere.

Off the Sketch pad

A little creature done with ink and water colour. I used the water colour on non waterproof linework and just about go away with it. In fact I like how it makes for slightly muted colour.

Another helping of Sergio

Yes another book to add to my collection. It is the selected works (by the artist himself) of Sergio Aragones he of mad fame and legend. He has been gracing the pages of MAD mag since the sixties and is still going strong. He is a genius in what he does and has no equal!.... and furthermore if he lived in this country (UK) he would have been knighted for his services to humour in mankind......

George Booth

Check out the work of George Booth a very funny american cartoonist. His work regularly features a deranged looking dog (old english bull terrier I think) He has a great loose style and his combination of well drawn if not chaotic scenes and brilliant gag lines make his work a joy. You can see loads of his stuff on the New Yorker website or just Google the man.

30 Doodles have September

I have declared September the official month of the 'Doodle'.  Each day of September will see a different doodle published here, some will be detailed while others will quite clearly slip through quality control unchecked.......Who cares it's just a doodle.
 I doodle continually and in doing so have amassed frightening amout of so called doodles. So I thought it would be good to drag out some from the archives to get things going for the first few days. Feel free to pass comment.

My Old Minolta

I have had it since 1980 and it's still going strong, unfortunately it falls short nowadays when up against the digital beasts.
Ask for roll of film 36 exposures and 400 ASA these days and you may as well be talking gobbeldegook.

New York Visit

I took lots of pics but have just picked a few that I like. Just any big city NYC is a great place to visit, the noise, colours, people and of course the skyscrapers account for neck ache from all angles just trying to keep pace with the roving eyeballs.

The Old Giant

The Twin Towers have gone and the skyline will never be the same. But the old giant remains standing reassuringly tall above mid town Manhattan.

Finally reached the Big 50

Yes here I stand at a major milestone in life the Big 50. I can now officially go out looking for Discounts, Practical footwear, Supplements for Joint pain, Ear and Nose trimmers, Beige Clothing and practice saying "Turn that Bloody music down"!!

Dismal

Once again after much hype and genuine expectation we have again failed to deliver on the big stage.
All we really have is talented bunch of individuals who are not really much good as a team.

Fabio's woes

This is turning into a real conundrum to solve. Is it the fact that we have to play against another team that is causing the problem.
